The Sun newspaper uses informal language to attract its target audience of working men aged 18 - 30.
The Vogue magazine featuring Beyonce also uses informal language such as 'Sexy' to target its audience of women who are interested in fashion and their appearance.

Coronation street appeals to its target audience through the use of mise en scene. It is set in an area where the streets are rows of terraced housing which is typical of Northern England. Scenes are also filmed in the corner shop and the pub which are every day settings therefore it is giving an exaggerated snapshot of real life which the audience can relate to.
